When you’re not practicing your asanas in Bangkok, you probably run away in some wonderful places of Thailand (and you’re absolutely right). It’s a fantastic opportunity to observe a yoga retreat. Thailand really developed many hotels and resorts around this concept to offer real and beneficial retreats. Koh Samui is a great place for your yoga vacations, here’s the best you can find there.
How to get to Koh Samui ?
Koh Samui is a beautiful island that you can reach from Bangkok easily with direct flights via Bangkok Airways or Thai Airways (from BKK airport). As the airport is private, they’re the only companies to propose these flights, and it’s a bit more expensive than usual low cost internal flights.
If you’re looking to save some dollars, you can alternatively access Koh Samui via Surat Thani. Both Air Asia and Nok Air offer full package including flights, bus and ferry to make you sure you optimise your travel time. It’s still a pretty long trip though, if you’re considering this option.
Koh Samui : When to go ?
Depending on what you’re looking for, Koh Samui is a good destination all year long as the temperature is pretty stable around 30 degrees. Though, if you’re aiming to also take some time at the beach, you have to take in consideration the monsoon and rainy season. That basically happens between October and December (november being the worst). If you have the choice, consider February, March or April as these are the driest months.
